  • Sore nipples or pain during breastfeeding
  • Oversupply or Undersupply
  • Issues with pumping, flange fitting
  • Plugged ducts or Mastitis
  • Feeding premature infant
  • Worries about the baby’s weight gain and so on.

Not finding the right help or answers cause many moms to get frustrated and give up on their breastfeeding journey in the mid-way, which in turns leads to guilt, self-doubt and sometimes even postpartum depression. But, this doesn’t have to be your story. This can be easily avoided through timely intervention by a trusted Lactation Consultant.

Prenatal Lactation Consultation – Why do you need to meet a Lactation consultant BEFORE your baby arrives?

At a prenatal lactation consultation, a detailed assessment is done which helps us to foresee possible roadblocks to breastfeeding. A work up of the medical history, examination of the breasts, what to expect in early days after your baby is born, to establish a care plan to feed your baby for a good start, to develop a customized care plan to keep you on track postpartum, and a guide and solid support in your breastfeeding journey. Then take action and book a prenatal lactation consultation.

Postnatal Lactation Consultation – Why do you need to meet a Lactation consultant AFTER your baby arrives?

At a postnatal consultation, we have a detailed discussion to understand your pre-pregnancy journey to early initiation of breastfeeding, assessment of breast as well as babies oral structure, hunger cues, milk supply, worries about baby’s weight gain, latching issues, painful feeding, expressing breast milk and lactation pumps and much more, and an appropriate care plan is developed to establish a wonderful and satisfying breastfeeding journey ahead.
